Ramon E. Martinez and his wife, Neyzza, have one son, Giancarlo (9/19/06). Ramon was born on October 10, 1972. He stands 6' tall and weighs about 191 lbs. He graduated from Escuela Superior Catolica High School in Bayamon, PR in 1990, & graduated from Vernon Regional Junior College in Texas in 1992. Following the 1997 season, Martinez hit .297 (58-for-195) with 35 runs scored, 14 doubles, two triples and 19 RBI for San Juan in the Puerto Rican Winter League...batted .290 (42-for-145) with 18 runs scored, 10 doubles, a triple, three home runs and 14 RBI for San Juan in the Puerto Rican Winter League following the 1998 season.
