DODGERLIFE will host the first Dodgers Movie Night next Thursday, July 9 at Dodger Stadium. Starting at 4:00 p.m., fans can cheer the Dodgers on Dodgervision as the team plays the New York Mets. After the game, fans will enjoy a special extended preview of scenes from the much-anticipated Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince followed by a showing of the Warner Bros. Pictures blockbuster, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. This special event will give fans a chance to relive the previous adventure before the release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in theaters on July 15.
Fans will be able to watch the movie on Dodgervision from the field level seats and some lucky fans will receive Harry Potter promotional items. Concession and merchandise stands will both be open and fans will be able to take a walk on the field's warning track. Tickets for the event are just $10.00 for children age three to 11 and $17.99 for adults.
Earlier this season, the Dodgers premiered their own Dodgers movie, Bluetopia, and they continue to strengthen their ties to Hollywood through events like the annual Hollywood Stars Game. Last season, the Dodgers received an Award of Excellence star on Hollywood Boulevard and they host Hollywood celebrities at Dodger Stadium, including Matthew McConaughey, Lauren Conrad, Cuba Gooding Jr., and the Jonas Brothers, on a daily basis.
DODGERLIFE was created this season to help fans become closer to the team outside of the baseball diamond. As part of the lifestyle program, fans have the opportunity to take batting practice on the field at Dodger Stadium, meet current and former Dodgers, participate in a Dodger Fantasy Camp, and take trips to see the team on the road. Other upcoming DODGERLIFE events include DodgersWIN Yoga with Andre Ethier on July 19, the second Jr. Dodgers Training Day on July 22, and the Dodgers Sleepover on August 14.
