Dodgers reliever Ronald Belisario was arrested early Saturday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol near his Pasadena apartment and released later on bail, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Belisario, who pitched a scoreless ninth inning of the Dodgers' 8-2 win over Seattle on Friday night, was at Dodger Stadium and in uniform for Saturday night's game with the Mariners.
According to the Times report, Belisario was pulled over at 2:27 a.m. PT by the California Highway Patrol while talking on a cell phone and officers "observed symptoms of possible alcohol intoxication" and placed him under arrest.
"Whenever a member of your organization is said to be in violation of the law, it is disappointing," said Dodgers general manager Ned Colletti. "We will provide any help we can." |
